Displacement Project (2012 - .)

A project to document testimonials from people displaced in 1948. Testimonials are collected from women and men who witnessed An Nakba, both from inside Palestine (West Bank, Gaza and territories of ‘48), and the diaspora (Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt and Chile). The interviews cover Palestinian refugee camps, cities and villages. The interviews are recorded using cassette tapes (voice), and some are recorded using video cameras (imaging). Photographic picture are also taken of displaced men and women, and the results of the interviews, along with testimonials, will be published in a book. In addition to that, some of the interviews will be published on the Center’s website.

Note: the number of narrators has not been determined due to:

Lack of narrators who are still alive among those who are targeted.
The necessity to document the testimonial of every Palestinian who witnessed that specified historic period, and has a good memory.
